Can’t go to the polls on Election Day?  Simply vote by mail!  In New Jersey, any voter can Vote-By-Mail for any reason.  Click here to download your Vote By Mail Application

Simple instructions for your Vote By Mail Application

  • Fill in or correct your personal information at the top of the application.
  • Fill in the correct mailing address where you would like to receive your ballot. If this is the same address at the top of the page, you can leave this section blank.
  • Please remember to sign and date your ballot application where indicated underneath the mailing information. Your application will not be accepted without a signature.
  • Fill out the return address in the return address portion in the upper left-hand corner on the back side of the application.
  • Seal the application and place it in the mail. Postage is pre-paid.

If you applied for an Vote-By-Mail ballot but never received it, you can vote by provisional ballot at your polling place on Election Day.

Mailing in your application - deadline is 7 days prior to Election Day.

A voter may apply for an Vote-By-Mail by completing an Vote-By-Mail Application (click here to download) and mailing the application to their County Clerk so it recieved no later than 7 days prior to Election Day. A voter may also apply in person to the County Clerk until 3:00 PM, the day before the election. The County Clerk cannot accept faxed or emailed copies of a Vote-By-Mail Application since an original signature is required.
